Selection of Study Programme

During admissions, the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering offers future students the opportunity to choose several study programmes, which the candidate ranks by priority according to their own ambitions. When applying for admission to FINKI, the candidate states the primary study programme in which they wish to enroll, and may then list additional study programmes, by priority, in which they would like to study if the points earned from the State Matura are insufficient for admission to their primary choice.

If the candidate has not earned enough points for enrollment in the state-funded quota of the study programme that is their primary choice, they may opt to study with co-financing in the same study programme.

If the candidate is not ranked on any basis in the study programme that is their primary choice, admission proceeds according to the priority order of the other study programmes at the Faculty, as listed by the candidate. In ranking, the candidate’s expressed preference takes precedence over the calculated points. Accordingly, Candidate A, who listed study programme X as their primary choice and has 85 points, has priority over Candidate B, who listed study programme Y as their primary choice and has 90 points that are insufficient for ranking in study programme Y, while listing study programme X as an additional choice.
