He has a background as a physicist with a master of science in material physics from Uppsala University, at the same university he received his PhD in 1999 with a thesis entitled \u201cInternal magnetic properties of Rare Earth metals and compounds\u201d.\u00a0Since 2014 Micke is head of the robotics and avionics research group which comprises the fields of reconfigurable hardware, artificial intelligence, stereo vision and dependable electronics in avionics. Micke has for many years been teaching at master level in the courses sensor technique and a full semester project course in robotics.
